You are a Christian working in business, public service, charity, or church leadership. You take your faith seriously and recognize the impact of your Christian influence in your workplace. You have a clear sense of your calling to serve and honour God in your workplace
Christian Pastoral Supervision offers you much more than conferences, books, and website resources (valuable as they are!). You will benefit from a trained pastoral supervisor dedicated to providing pastoral support for you - helping you navigate your unique work-related issues and opportunities from a Christian perspective. Christian Pastoral Supervision creates a confidential, spiritual, and safe space focused entirely on you and the matters that are most important in your work environment.

Hi, I am Rev'd Stuart McPhail.
I hold a Professional Certificate in Pastoral Supervision from the Institute of Pastoral Counselling & Supervision, an MA in Contextual Theology, and an MSc in Project Management.
As a professional member of APSE (Association of Pastoral Supervisors & Educators), I am insured by Balens Specialist Insurance to practice professional pastoral supervision.
I am an ordained minister of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, having led churches for nearly 20 years in the UK. My experience also includes working as a Chartered Surveyor, Construction Design Team Project Manager, Team Leader, Workplace Coach, and Mentor.
My work in pastoral supervision is enriched by my background in pastoral ministry and ecumenical training, as well as my previous career in business.

Our work can be constantly demanding. At times, it feels like we are trapped in a continuous cycle of activity, lacking proper opportunities to reflect on our practices through the lens of our faith; to consider the impact on ourselves and those around us; and to plan our future steps.
I am passionate about offering pastoral support for workplace Christians as you navigate the unique challenges of your environment—because I believe that you and your work matter to God and His Kingdom.
My support aims to be spiritually and theologically rich, psychologically informed, grounded in your work experience, and sensitive to future developments in your career.
In my article, I explain how pastoral supervision differs from mentoring, spiritual direction, and counseling. Click here to learn more.
